51 22 126 Removing And Installing/Replacing Carrier For Outside Door Handle On Left Or Right Rear Door

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Release screw (1).

Feed carrier out of guide (2) and lower at front downwards.

Installation:

Make sure guides are correctly fed in.

Remove carrier through handle opening.

Protect door outer skin (e.g. cleaning cloth).

Feed fiber optics cable out of clip (1).

NOTE: No fibre optics cable is fitted from build date 09/2004.

If necessary, withdraw Bowden cable sleeve (2) with clip (3) from retaining fixture.

Feed Bowden cable out of actuating lever (4).

Remove carrier.

Installation:

Clip is on fitted on Bowden cables with blue sealing caps (1).

Position of clip on Bowden cable:

2 = small hole side.
