Removal & Installation

Remove expansion tank. See EXPANSION TANK .
Remove screw connections of brake lines with Special Tool (32 1 020). See Fig 1. Seal off brake lines and brake master cylinder with plugs, Special Tool (32 1 270).
Remove nuts and remove brake master cylinder from brake booster.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace sealing ring in O-form. See Fig 2.
When inserting master brake cylinder in brake booster, make sure pressure rod of brake booster and brake master cylinder lie in a single plane.
Replace self-locking nuts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Tighten brake lines to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
