22 11 100 Replacing right engine support arm (N62/N62TU)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Secure engine in installation position, refer to SECURING ENGINE IN INSTALLATION POSITION WITH SPECIAL TOOL (N62)
• Remove front wheels, refer to 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL
• Remove reinforcement plate. Upon installation, replace screws and captive nuts. Tighten to 56 Nm with a torque angle of 90°.
• Lower front axle carrier, refer to FRONT AXLE SUPPORT
• Remove front underbody protection See 51 47 490 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION
• Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle, refer to 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM

Release both engine mounts from above.

Remove grounding strap from engine support arm.

Remove engine support arm from engine block.

Installation: 

Clean contact faces in order to ensure a safe ground connection.
