65 82 010 Removing and installing (replacing) control display
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead, refer to 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
- Remove wood trim on instrument panel on right. Refer to 51 45 366 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING WOOD TRIM ON RIGHT .
NOTE:
Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. Refer to 61 00... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS

Release screws (1).
Remove control display (2) in direction of arrow.
Unlock plug connection behind and disconnect.
Remove control display (2).
Installation:
Guides (1) of control display (2) must be exactly seated in mountings of instrument panel.
Replacement:
Carry out coding/programming.
Observe following IDC specifications:

- Coding
- Car & Key Memory
- CD "CIP"
