Manual Triggering Of An Emergency Call

If an emergency call cannot be automatically triggered due to the vehicle equipment, the call can be made manually. Press the virtual emergency call button on one of the following displays to trigger an emergency call in the telephone menu:

When the emergency call button is activated, the TCU tries to establish voice contact with the Service Provider. If no connection with the Service Provider can be established within 60 seconds, the national emergency number 112 in Germany) is dialled automatically.

NOTE: Emergency number 112
  • The emergency number 112 (for Germany) is stored in the TCU to allow an emergency call to be made.
  • It is always possible to make an emergency call without inserting the SIM card.
