61 31 020 Removing and installing ignition switch

Remove upper section of steering column trim. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM (UPPER SECTION) .

Remove lower section of steering column trim. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM (LOWER SECTION) .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Loosen screws (1).

Move fixture (2) for wiring harness slightly.

Remove sealing varnish and release headless setscrews (1).

Detach ignition switch (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Secure headless setscrews with sealing varnish.
