51 11 050 Removing And Installing/Replacing Carrier For Front Bumper Trim (M3/Lightweight Design)

Only on right side:

Release screw (1) for washer reservoir.

Release screws (1) and pull right carrier (2) towards front slightly.

Installation:

Observe tightening torque, refer to 51 11 4AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 3-SERIES .

If necessary, release metal screws (1) on left and right.

NOTE: Metal screws are omitted for replacement.

NOTE: After detaching hose, seal off pump outlet and hoses.

Remove hose (1).

Disconnect plug connections (3).

Version With Headlight Cleaning System:

Unlock hose (2) and detach.

Remove filler hose (1) from washer fluid reservoir (2).

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty O-ring (3).

Remove center section of bumper (carrier).

Installation:

Distance (A) must be the same all around between the bumper and body cutout.

Measurement (A) = 5 +/- 1 mm.

Release screws (1).

Remove washer fluid reservoir (2).

Release screws (1) and remove air horns (2).

Unclip wiring harness (3) and remove.
