Removing and installing tailgate trim, refer to 51 49 008 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (ENTIRE) TAILGATE TRIM (Z3 COUPE, M COUPE) 

Unscrew nuts (1).

Press lock cylinder (1) while pulling off handle strip (2) with seal (3) toward rear.
