Wheel Carrier: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  2. Insure tapered pins and holes are free of grease. Replace nuts. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Note bush (1) in bore on wheel carrier. See Figure.
  4. Pull in axle shaft using special tool (33 2 115/116/118). See Fig 1.
  5. Replace collar nut. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Secure collar nut by peening at flat area of shaft.
