Vertical Adjustment (Parallelism):
Lift rear clamping jaw (door window must locate in lower jaws at this point) and tighten down screw. Tighten front clamping screw.
Tightening Torque, refer to 51 32 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 740I & 740iL - E38 .
Raise door window up to stop.
Check gaps (A) (door window front edge) and (B) (door window top edge). Measure window frame between door window edge and panel:
- = 5.4 mm.
- = 10 mm.
CAUTION:
Disconnect toggle switch for power window from plug connection of door wiring harness.
Disconnect battery negative lead, refer to 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
