51 33 000 Removing and installing power window in front door, left or right (Protection)

Remove front door window glass, refer to 51 32 170 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR WINDOW .

Release cable tie (1) and disconnect plug connection (2) from power window mechanism.

Pull off guide (1).

Unscrew bolts (1).

Slacken screws (2) and remove complete power window towards bottom.

Installation: 

Place power window in locating bracket (1) and insert loosely all screws.

Note installation position of nut (2).

Installation: 

Tighten screws (1) and (2).

Tightening Torque, refer to 51 33 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 740I & 740iL - E38 .

Installation: 

Install door window glass and locate with clamping jaw (1) and clamping screw (2).

Adjust door window glass, refer to 51 32 154 ADJUSTING DOOR WINDOW GLASS, FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT (PROTECTION) .

Installation: 

Lower door window down to stop.

Tighten screws (1).

Tightening Torque, refer to 51 33 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 740I & 740iL - E38 .

Installation: 

Close door window firmly.

Tighten screws (1).

Tightening Torque, refer to 51 33 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 740I & 740iL - E38 .
