Glues And Their Minimum Hardening Times:

GLUES AND THEIR MINIMUM HARDENING TIMES

Glue Minimum hardening time "without passenger airbag" (after which vehicle can be moved) Minimum hardening time "with passenger airbag" (countries where seatbelts are not mandatory)
SikaTack - Ultrafast (hot processing) 4 hours 12 hours (1)
Genuine BMW repair kit:

Adhesive cartridge:
Part Number 81 22 9 407 526 (cold processing)		 9 hours 20 hours (1)
Sikaflex 255 FC (cold processing) 9 hours 20 hours (1)
(1) Vehicles with passenger airbag: The vehicle can be handed over to the customer after the hardening period (vehicle can be moved, adhesive-dependent) with the following warning: All occupants must drive with seatbelts fastened during the minimum hardening period after the windshield has been glued (refer to table for countries where it is not mandatory to wear a seatbelt).
CAUTION: If the minimum hardening time is not adhered to:
  • The passenger together with the windshield may fall out of the car in the event of an accident after the passenger airbag has been triggered.
