Rear Spring Strut Shock Absorber: Installation

  1. To Install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure square head (1) on rubber mount points towards head of screw. See Figure . Tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install control arm to shock absorber. Ensure tapered pin and bore are free of grease. Replace nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Replace self-locking nuts. See Figure . Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Fasten line on shock absorber and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Check oil level of power steering unit.
