51 34 420 Removing and installing/replacing trim on window frame of rear door (front), left or right (Protection)

Remove rubber guide for rear door window glass,

refer to 51 34 211 REPLACING RUBBER SEAL FOR DOOR WINDOW GLASS, REAR LEFT OR RIGHT (PROTECTION) .

Detach and remove rubber seal (1) at front.

Installation: 

1. Coat rubber seal with rubber protection coating agent (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service).

Release screws (1). Lever out rear trim and detach towards front.

Installation: 

1. If necessary, replace faulty plastic nuts (1) and insulating material (2).

Installation: 

1. Install trim strip (3) to align trim (1) and rubber seal (2).
2. Press trim (1) upwards against trim strip (3) and screw into place.
3. Remove trim strip (3) again.
