51 32 154 Adjusting door window glass, front left or right (Protection)

Remove sound insulation/protective mat,

refer to 51 48... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR, LEFT OR RIGHT 

If necessary, remove protective mat,

refer to 51 41... REPLACING PROTECTIVE MAT FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR (PROTECTION) 

Connect toggle switch for power window to plug connection of door wiring harness.

Connect battery negative lead.

Lower door window down to stop.

Slacken clamping jaw (1) at rear and clamping screw (2) at front.

Longitudinal adjustment: 

Slide door window in open clamp jaws in longitudinal direction.

Vertical adjustment (parallelism): 

Lift rear clamping jaw (door window must locate in lower jaws at this point) and tighten down screw. Tighten front clamping screw.

Raise door window up to stop.

Check gaps (A) (door window front edge) and (B) (door window top edge). Measure window frame between door window edge and panel:

(A) = 5.4 mm

(B) = 10 mm

Disconnect battery negative lead.
