51 43 148 Removing and installing or replacing trim on left or right door pillar (top)

Remove panel for bottom door pillar, refer to 51 43 150 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING TRIM FOR LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR (BOTTOM) .

Unfasten seatbelt screw on front seat.

Installation:

Fig 1: Unfastening Seatbelt Screw

Tightening Torque (31 N.m).

Remove mucket in area of trim for door pillar at top.

Unclip trim on lower door pillar (1) by pulling inwards, then pull downwards (2) to remove.

L7 only:

Unfasten plug connection (1).

Unclip trim on lower door pillar (2) by pulling inwards (A), then pull downwards (B) to remove.

Installation:

If necessary, replace damaged clips and/or grommets.

L7 only:

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clamps (1), grommets (2) and/or clip (3).

Replacement for L7 only (remove and install light):

Release screws (1) and unlock plug connection (2).

Remove light (3) from trim for door pillar (4).
