Land Rover (1995-04)

WARNING: Accidental air bag deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Avoid area near steering wheel and instrument panel even if air bags have deployed. Dual-stage air bag modules may be present that could contain an undeployed stage. When disposing of a deployed dual-stage air bag, always treat it as a "live" module. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article.

Replace After Deployment Inspect & If Damaged Replace Component (Even If Air Bag Did Not Deploy) Comments
Deployed air bag modules; Air bag diagnostic control unit; Air bag wiring harness(1); Rotary coupler; Front crash sensors(2); Deployed seat belt pretensioners; Seat back foam & cover (if side air bag deployed); Air bag module & mounting surfaces; Crash sensors & mounting brackets; Steering column & wheel; Wiring harness & connectors; Front seat frames (side impact air bag modules); Seat belts & mounting points; After vehicle is repaired, ensure AIR BAG warning light is functioning properly.; If side impact air bags have deployed, replace seat foam and air bag cover.;
(1) Fly leads (where applicable) connecting air bags and pretensioners to air bag system wining harness.
(2) Applicable to some 1999-2002 North American models.

Deployed air bag modules; Air bag diagnostic control unit; Fly leads(1); Rotary coupler; Side crash sensors (replace both sides)(2); Deployed seat belt pretensioners; Head air bag retaining clips(2); Headliner trim panel(2); Air bag module & mounting surfaces; Sensors & mounting brackets; Steering column & wheel; Wiring harness & connectors; Front seat frames (side impact air bag modules); Seat belts & mounting points; After vehicle is repaired, ensure AIR BAG warning light is functioning properly.; If side impact air bags have deployed, replace seat foam and air bag cover.;
(1) Fly leads (where applicable) connecting air bags and pretensioners to air bag system wining harness.
(2) If side or head air bags have deployed.
