11 34 560 Replacing all valve stem seals (M52 / S52 / M52TU / M54 / M56)

Special tools required:

NOTE: For special tools, refer to ENGINE - SPECIAL TOOLS .

Preliminary tasks are described in DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING CYLINDER HEAD . Remove all valve springs.

Remove valve stem seal with special tool 11 1 480.

Lubricate valve stem with oil and insert valve. Fit special tool 11 1 960.

Coat new valve stem seal (1) with oil and install.

Press valve stem seal firmly home by hand with special tool 11 1 200.
