Removal & Installation (3-Series & X5)

Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Move steering column down and extend fully. Remove 2 screws at top of instrument cluster hood. See Figure . Lift out instrument cluster slightly and pull cluster toward steering column. Disconnect electrical connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure.
