Recharging The Batteries In The Bluetooth Mobile Phone

The batteries in the bluetooth mobile phone are automatically recharged. The recharging of the batteries in the mobile phone is controlled by the universal charger and hands-free kit. As soon as the mobile phone is engaged in the snap-in adapter, the charging electronics in the universal charger and hands-free kit record the charge state of the batteries. If the charging electronics determine that a predefined charge state has been reached, the system will start recharging the batteries. The ULF control unit transmits the "Cradle enable" signal to the base plate via the control line. This signal activates the power supply on the base plate. The actual recharging is performed by the snap-in adapter. Each snap-in adapter includes charging electronics specially designed for recharging the batteries of the matching mobile phone. Because recharging (charge voltage, current limitation, pulsing, etc.) has to be conducted for the specific model of bluetooth mobile phone, only the correct type of mobile phone is to be operated with the snap-in adapter.

The batteries are charged under the following preconditions:

NOTE: Battery charging function run-on If terminal R is switched OFF (ignition lock in position 0), the batteries of an engaged mobile phone will continue to be charged for a further 12 minutes (can be encoded).
