Removal & Installation (5-Series)
- Move steering column fully out and down. Unclip wood inserts to left and right of steering column. Place rags over steering column to prevent scratching. Remove 4 screws attaching instrument cluster trim to instrument panel and remove. Remove 2 screws at top of instrument cluster hood. Tilt cluster down to access connectors. Push levers retaining instrument cluster connectors, and unplug connectors. Remove instrument cluster.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Levers retaining instrument cluster connectors must be up when inserting connectors. To remove instrument cluster electronics module attached to rear of cluster, disconnect retainer from top of module and slide module sideways and out.
