12 41 020 Removing and installing/replacing starter (M60, M62): Notes

Switch off ignition.

Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery, refer to DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY  .

Disconnect battery negative lead from battery.

Unscrew and remove splash guard.
