51 43 148 Removing and installing or replacing trim on left or right door column (top)

Unfasten seatbelt screw on front seat.

Installation: 

Tightening torque, see 72 11 1AZ in SEAT BELTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Version up to 9/97: 

Pull mucket upwards beside door column trim panel.

1. Unclip trim panel for door pillar at top and bottom towards inside.
2. Pull out trim panel towards top.

Installation 

1. Insert trim for top of door column (1) in the trim for bottom of door column (2).

Version up to 9/97:

Installation 

1. If necessary, replace damaged clips.

Version from 9/97: 

Remove trim panel for door pillar (bottom).

Remove mucket in area of trim for door pillar at top.

1. Unclip trim panel at bottom towards inside.
2. Detach out trim panel towards bottom.

Installation 

1. If necessary, replace defective clips (1).
2. Mounts (2) must not be damaged.
