51 41... Replacing protective mat for door handle, front left or right (Protection)

If necessary, remove airbag module on front left or right door,

refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .

Remove sound insulation on front door,

refer to 51 48... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR, LEFT OR RIGHT 

Connect toggle switch for power window to plug connection of wiring harness.

Raise door window up to stop.

Detach soundproofing (1) and press expansion rivets (2) inwards.

Remove protective mat (1) from interior of door.
