Removal & Installation
CAUTION:
Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental feedback control of the system cannot occur.
- Remove trim (back shelf) for rear shelf. Remove loudspeaker. See 65 13 071 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING LOUDSPEAKERS (REAR SHELF)
- Remove wheel and wheel arch trim. See 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER
- Lift off cover from shock absorber and unfasten nut. If necessary, disconnect plug connection for EDC. See Fig 1.
- Support wheel carrier with workshop hoist. The brake hose must not be exposed to traction loads.
- Unfasten shock absorber from wheel carrier and remove.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install bush (1) in bore on wheel carrier. See Figure. Replace self-locking nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
