Check brake lining thicknesses with measuring gauge at front and rear. Refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I .
Remove front and (if necessary) rear disk brake linings.
NOTE:
- Clean brake shafts.
- Replace brake linings if they drop below minimum thickness (refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I ).
- Replace brake disks if they drop below minimum thickness (refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I ) and in event of scoring, heat cracks, lateral runout or thickness difference.
- Apply a thin coat of grease to wheel centering on light alloy wheels, refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I .
