Oil Supply: Disassembly
- Remove "O" ring from centering plate and 2 square cut seals from stator shaft. See Fig 1
. Remove 12 intermediate plate-to-oil pump bolts. Leave 2 bolts loosely installed 180 degrees apart from each other. Using a plastic mallet, drive oil pump from centering plate by striking 2 loosened screws.
- Remove "O" ring from oil pump. Remove inner and outer gears from oil pump. Remove alignment pin. Remove snap ring and pry out shaft seal. Remove waved washer. Using an appropriate press, remove sealing ring and needle bearing from oil pump. Remove 5 stator shaft-to-intermediate plate bolts. Drive stator shaft out of centering and intermediate plates.
