"F" Brake & 1ST Gear Free-Wheel: Disassembly

1. Remove snap ring and detach 1st gear free-wheel unit from clutch cylinder "F". See Fig 1 . Remove snap ring and disassemble 1st gear free-wheel unit. Inspect bearings and races.
2. Remove snap ring from clutch cylinder and remove clutch pack. Remove "O" ring. Using appropriate press, compress split ring and plate spring from clutch cylinder.
3. Using plastic drifts, drive piston out of clutch cylinder. Remove snap ring and drive needle bearing out of cylinder hub.
