Parking Brake

  1. There should not be braking affect when the parking brake lever is pulled up one tooth.
  2. The wheel peripheral force may deviate from the larger value by a maximum 30 percent in comparison with the opposite wheel (measured on dynamometer). Adjustment is necessary in case of greater brake force difference.
  3. The parking brake must be adjusted if the parking brake lever travel is greater than 10 teeth.
  4. Adjustment is also necessary after replacing brake shoes, brake drums and resetting slack control device.
