Brake Caliper: Removal

Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel(s).
Install pedal support and gently depress brake pedal. This prevents brake fluid from escaping out of the expansion tank when the brake lines are disconnected. This prevents air from entering the brake system.
Separate brake line at connection with brake hose.
Remove plastic plugs (2). See Fig 1 .
On left front remove connector for wear indicator. On rear right remove connector for wear indicator.
Unfasten guide bolts under plastic plugs.
Lift out retaining spring (1). See Fig 2 .
Pull out brake caliper forwards.
