Bleeding Rear Axle Brake Circuit

  1. Attach BMW service test MoDIC to diagnosis connector. Call up diagnosis program (ABS ASC ABD).
  2. Connect bleeder unit to expansion tank and switch on. Follow relevant manufacturer's operating instructions. The charge pressure must not exceed 29 PSI (2 bar).
  3. Connect bleeder hose and receptacle to bleeder screw on the rear right brake caliper. See Figure .
  4. Open bleeder screw and perform bleeding routine on BMW diagnosis system.
  5. Close bleeder screw.
  6. Follow same procedure on rear left wheel brake.
  7. Switch off bleeder unit and disconnect from expansion tank.
  8. Switch off bleeder unit and disconnect from expansion tank.
  9. Check brake fluid level.
  10. Close expansion tank being careful of rubber seal (1) in cover. See Figure .
  11. Remove BMW service test MoDIC and replace cover on diagnosis connector.
