34 52 550 Removing and installing/replacing rotation rate sensor DSC3 from 09/98
NOTE:
Remove driver's seat.
Remove entrance cover strip at front inside.
After replacing the rotation-rate sensor, carry out an adjustment of the rotation-rate sensor and the transversal acceleration sensor with DIS (Diagnosis and Information System) under the menu item "Service functions".
The rotation-rate sensor from 09/98 contains the function of the transversal acceleration sensor.
Remove entrance cover strip at front inside.

Lift floor trim panel and fold to one side.
Unlock plug connection (1) and detach.
Release screws (2) and remove rotation-rate sensor (3).
Installation:
- Ensure proper locking of the plug connector.
