Eject Box With SIM Card Holder

The SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module) is placed in the removable SIM card holder in the eject box. A SIM card reader is integrated in the eject box to read the data on the SIM card (e.g. phone numbers and data for a GSM mobile phone network).

Installation Location  The eject box is fitted in the centre console in a storage compartment

Construction  The eject box is a connection point between the Bluetooth mobile phone and the Telematic Control Unit (TCU). The connection is established via contacts on the eject box and the SIM card holder (SIM = Subscriber Identity Module).

How It Works  The Bluetooth handset is connected with the SIM card inserted in the SIM card holder once it is locked into the eject box. The connection is established via the contacts on the eject box and the contacts on the Bluetooth handset. The SIM card is placed in the SIM card holder so that its connections touch the contacts on the SIM card holder. When the connections and contacts on the SIM card inserted touch, connection to the Telematic Control Unit (TCU) is as follows: SIM card => SIM card holder > SIM card reader => Telematic Control Unit. The data stored on the SIM card is transferred to the TCU (e.g. the data from the GSM mobile phone network, with the provider of which the user has a contract).
