Barrel Spring: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheel.
- Remove drive axle from differential output flange and suspend aside. See AXLE SHAFT article.
- Unfasten bracket for brake line on trailing arm.
- Support trailing arm with a lifter.
- Lower trailing arm, and remove coil spring. See Fig 1 .
- Unfasten screw (1) and lower lifter. See Figure .
- Press wheel suspension down and pull barrel spring out to one side. Avoid damage to brake line.
