Removal & Installation (325 Series, 525i, 535i & 735 Series)
- Remove steering wheel. See AIR BAG article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIP Section. Remove two screws at top of instrument cluster hood. Lift out instrument cluster slightly and pull cluster toward steering column.
- Push levers retaining instrument cluster connectors and unplug connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. Levers retaining instrument cluster connectors must be up when inserting connectors.
NOTE:
If instrument cluster is replaced, coding plug on back of cluster may need to be replaced and a label showing odometer reading of old instrument cluster attached to left door pillar.
