Fuel Gauge Test

Remove tank access cover. Unplug sending unit lead (Brown/Yellow wire) and connect it to ground. Turn ignition on briefly. If needle moves to FULL position, gauge is okay. Sending unit may be defective. If needle does not move to FULL position, check sending unit wire continuity. If sending unit and wiring are okay, gauge is inoperative.
