Without Air Bags

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Position steering wheel straight-ahead (steering gear and steering spindle marks aligned.) Pop off emblem, unscrew and remove nut and washer. Unlock steering lock and remove steering wheel.
    NOTE: Steering wheel cannot be removed until steering lock has been unlocked.
  2. Remove insulation panel under left side of dashboard and trim fasteners below instrument cluster. Remove trim.
  3. Remove screws attaching trim above instrument panel. Pull out trim. Pull out instrument cluster part way. Push slide lock up on wiring connector and unplug wiring from cluster. Remove cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
