Bleeding ASC+T Hydraulic Control Unit

NOTE: ABS/ASC+T control module must be reinitialized if any of the following components have been disconnected or replaced: ABS/ASC+T control module, throttle valve assembly, or throttle potentiometer.
HYDRAULIC FLUID FOR MODEL YEAR

After 9/91 Pentosin CHF-11S
NOTE: Before bleeding the hydraulic system, be sure the brake system is filled with brake fluid.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove cover from Electronic Box (E-Box) located in right rear of engine compartment. Unlock plug (1) and pull it off of ABS/ASC+T control module. See Fig 1 .
  2. Fill ASC+T hydraulic unit fluid reservoir to within 1" (25 mm) of top rim of reservoir. See Fig 2 .
  3. Reconnect ABS/ASC+T control module harness connector plug. Start engine and run for 30 seconds.
  4. Connect bleeder hose to ASC+T hydraulic control unit bleeder and place other end of hose in waste bottle. See Fig 3 .
  5. Open bleeder and flush system until fluid is free of air bubbles. Close bleeder and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Turn engine off. Top off hydraulic unit fluid level.
  7. To reinitialize ABS/ASC+T control module, disconnect harness connector from ABS/ASC+T control module. Start engine and run for one minute. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect ABS/ASC+T control module harness connector. Install E-Box cover.
