Rear Case
- Remove rear output flange lock plate. Hold output flange and remove collar nut. Remove output flange, using a puller (if necessary).
- Remove shaft with reverse idler gear and needle bearing. Remove operating lever pin, selector rail and operating lever. Engage 4th gear and drive out lock pin from operating lever. Remove selector shaft and seal from rear.
- Remove detent spring cover plate. Remove 3 detent springs and balls. Note spring length and position for reassembly. Drive out pin from 3rd-4th selector fork. Drive out 3rd-4th gear selector rod towards the front. Ensure lock pin is in position in shaft crosshole.
- Engage 2nd and reverse gears by pulling 1st-2nd and 5th-reverse gear selector rods forward. Remove input shaft, output shaft and countershaft from transmission rear case. Remove all detent and locking balls from rear case.
- Remove bearing lock plate from rear output shaft bearing. Remove bearings and seals from rear case.
