Inspection & Reassembly

After thoroughly cleaning all valve body components, inspect valves and bores for wear or damage. Inspect springs for collapsed or deformed coils.
Reverse disassembly procedure for reassembly of upper left valve body. Ensure flat face of throttle valve retaining clip faces away from valve spring and flat side of modulator valve retaining clip faces away from valve spring. When fitting modulator valve cover plate, ensure plate lug engages into kickdown valve.

After thoroughly cleaning valve body components, inspect valves and bores for signs of wear or damage. Inspect springs for collapsed or deformed coils.
Lubricate all components with ATF and reverse disassembly procedure to reassemble. Ensure when thermo valve is fitted, front face of valve faces thermo switch.

After thoroughly cleaning all rear valve body components, inspect valves and bores for signs of wear or damage. Inspect springs for collapsed or deformed coils.
Lubricate all components with ATF and reverse disassembly procedure to reassemble. Ensure "F" clutch valve locates in "F" clutch damper spring seat and flat face of retaining clip faces away from damper.
Ensure restrictors are installed in rear valve body and remain in original positions and directions. Ensure when front valve body is inverted, restrictors and ball remain in front valve body.

After thoroughly cleaning all rear valve body components, inspect all valves and bores for signs of wear or damage. Inspect springs for collapsed or deformed coils.
Lubricate all components with ATF and reverse disassembly procedure to reassemble. Ensure flat face of "B" clutch valve retaining clip faces away from cover plate.
Ensure "D" clutch valve retaining clip flat side faces damper/spring. Ensure "C" clutch valve retaining clip faces cover plate.
Lubricate, fit and align manual control valve. Fit and align plastic ball and restrictors on front valve body. Set valve body aside.
