Clutch "B": Disassembly

  1. Remove snap ring from center of "B" clutch housing. Remove steel and lined plates. Note number and arrangement of plates and discs for reassembly reference. Bend open lock plate, press down on diaphragm spring with Clutch Compressor (242030) and remove snap ring. See Figure .
  2. Remove piston from housing by applying compressed air to oil feed hole. Remove and discard seals and "O" rings.
