Clutch "A": Disassembly

With transmission disassembled, press out input shaft. Using press, compress clutch assembly and remove large snap ring. See Figure . Remove spacer plates, clutch plates, discs, diaphragm spring and carrier plate. Note number and arrangement of plates and discs.
Remove snap ring from input shaft and separate input shaft from input hub. Remove piston from hub by applying compressed air to oil hole. Remove diaphragm spring and seals.
