Rear Planetary Gear: Disassembly

  1. Support assembly with output shaft facing downward. Remove one-way clutch and front planetary gear set. Remove sun gear shaft. Remove snap ring and remove hollow gear. Remove rear planetary carrier. See Figure .
  2. Remove intermediate shaft from shaft and housing. Remove bearing and washer from housing. Remove snap ring holding input hollow gear to intermediate shaft. Remove axial bearing assembly.
