Clutch "D": Disassembly

  1. With clutch "C" and "C1" removed, lift clutch "D" from planetary gear set. Remove snap ring, discs and plates. See Figure . Note number and arrangement of discs and plates for reassembly reference.
  2. Using press and spring compressor, compress spring. Remove snap ring. Release press. Apply air pressure to oil passage on plate carrier to remove piston from plate carrier. Remove "O" rings.
