Clutch "C" & "C1": Disassembly
- Place clutch assembly onto a pipe with an outside diameter of 1.142" (29.00 mm) and clamp assembly in a vise. Remove centering plate. Remove discs and plates for clutch "C" from plate carrier, noting number and arrangement for reassembly reference. See Figure .
- Using press and spring compressor, compress spring. Remove snap ring from center of plate carrier. Apply air pressure to oil passage on plate carrier to remove piston.
- Turn assembly over and remove discs and plates for clutch "C1" from plate carrier, noting number and arrangement for reassembly reference. Using press and spring compressor, compress spring on centering plate. Remove snap ring from center of centering plate.
- Apply air pressure to oil passage on centering plate to remove piston from centering plate. Remove "O" rings.
