Steering Wheel: Installation
- Viewing bottom of steering wheel, if contact ring is not centered (arrows do not line up), see CONTACT RING under ADJUSTMENTS before completing steering wheel installation.
- Guide contact ring wiring down through column. Position steering wheel onto shaft splines using reference mark for realignment positioning, and, at the same time, accurately align column locking pins into opening in contact ring on bottom of steering wheel.
- Install and tighten steering wheel hub nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect horn wiring. Install air bag module. Activate SRS. Perform system operation check to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
