Removal & Installation (1990 800 Series)
- Before proceeding further, follow the air bag service precautions. Refer to SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Remove passenger side lower instrument panel trim panel. SRS control unit is mounted to top underside of dash panel. Disconnect Orange harness connectors located below control unit. Remove Orange control unit retaining screws and remove unit.
- To install, reverse removal procedures. Ensure control unit is mounted with top arrow pointing toward front of vehicle. Activate SRS. Perform system operation check to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
