SRS Warning Light Does Not Illuminate

  1. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Disconnect 8-wire Orange connector from SRS control unit. Connect a fused jumper wire to ground and to terminal No. 4 (Blue/Black wire) of SRS control unit harness connector.
  2. If SRS light now illuminates, check terminal No. 4 connection at SRS control unit. If connection is good, replace SRS control unit. If SRS light does not illuminate, check Blue/Black wire to SRS light for open circuit and check Purple wire from SRS light to ignition switch for open in ground circuit. If wiring is good, replace bulb in instrument cluster light panel. Reconnect system and perform system operation check.
