Wheel Bearing: Removal

  1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Unplug brake pad wear indicator if left side caliper is to be removed. Disconnect brake line bracket from strut assembly. Remove disc brake caliper and hang out of the way.
  2. Remove hub cap, cotter pin, castle nut, washer and outer bearing. Remove hub and rotor assembly. Remove shaft seal and inner bearing. Remove bearing outer races if required.
