Idle Speed

Idle speed is controlled by an idle speed control unit. Connect dwell/tachometer to engine. Check idle speed. If specification is not correct, check idle speed control unit and replace if required.

NOTE: Mixture adjustment is NOT a part of normal tune-up procedure and should not be performed unless fuel injection components are replaced or vehicle fails emission testing.
